Worst brand ever

Ive been a mechanic for 25 year. In January 2022 i bought a bucket load of moog parts from General Traffic. Both front wishbones. Both ball joints. Both drop links. Both rack ends. Both track rods. Antirole bar D bushes. Every item on that list has been replaced due to them failing god only knows how this brand passed as safe the company who make the components have complete disregaurd to safety the brand is dangerous an should be avoided at all costs

Moog warranty a joke

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Ordered complete tie rod set for my truck. 15000 miles later tie rods have worn out and are popping when turning of steering wheel.

Actually slips when turning right. Try to get a replacement set, and I am told that I need to send a video of this taking place. Well I use my truck for work, so I had already removed the tie rod set and replaced with a cheaper temporary set, so I could replace with warranty parts.

Well, to my surprise, they want me to send parts, so they can test and come up with their own opinion. Never by from this place again, and I have told and will tell from here on out to stay away from Moog-Suspension-Parts!

Agreed, sounds like an inside employee trying to make it sound like the customer is wrong and the company is almighty. Give me a break!

Original review Sep 03, 2021

Order my first part from this company on 8/24/2021 needed wheel bearings heard that moog were the best boy was that wrong. Purchase them at autozone and when they arrived one was correct and looked pre used and no stamp saying moog and the other was stamped with moog but didn't fix my car.

So when I call the store to explain to them the situation ok we will order another one but it will take two days to get it ok find no problem I don't really need to drive I guess. When new part comes same one I'm bringing back so sales guy calls moog and this guy rude over the phone we havebeen in business a long time and never had this problem you must be doing something wrong not realizing I know what I'm doing but he never ask how can I fix it nothing just rude don't buy from this company they have no idea what they are doing when it comes to part and no costumer service none

POOR QUALITY PARTS

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
i own an automotive garage, been installing moog suspension parts for over 25 years have never had an issue (really) until about three years ago started having problems with ball joints not lasting, i called the company and talked to tech support on first set. found the gentle man to rude and no help at all, since then i have had four sets of ball joints fail within a few year. i have never had this before and won't have it again, i'm through with all moog products including their china wheel bearings. its hard to give up on a company you've trusted, bragged on their quality all these years. looks like they have sold out!!!

Upset about my part going bad and wanting to be reimbursed!!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I had four Moog hub wheel bearings installed on my 98 Cadillac Deville and in less than a year, one of them went bad, Moog used to be the top dog, in the auto parts industry, now it's not so , because there parts are being made wherever, I would like to be remimbursed the $157.38 plus tax, that I paid for my rear hub wheel bearing and the $57.38, plus tax that I had to pay for another hub wheel bearing, not to mention paying to get it installed, I feel that's only right for the inconveniece that this bad part has caused me, now lets see if you respond to this complaint!!!! My name is Jason Gregory and my address is 225 Rosewood Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45506, thank you!!!!

Customer service not good

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a 2 wheel hubs for my trailblazer through amazon, one of which went bad within a few months while it was still under warranty. I called amazon, they said I had to call moog. I called moog they said I had to call amazon. Finally after going back and forth a couple of times I spoke to someone who said he was going to have the right person call me back because he was on vacation or something like that. He never called. I waited and waited. Tried to call again and again they kept telling me I have to talk to amazon. A warranty is a warranty that for some reason they would not honor. I thought moog was supposed to be the best. Obviously that’s not right. I’m a single woman raising my 13 year old niece and a year and a half later I’m still riding around with a bad wheel hub on my truck cause I can’t afford to buy another one at $143 since the warranty is expired now. That’s just bad business. Thanks moog.

Grease fittings

No grease fittings on hand to replace the faulty units I’ve been provided. Adding an extra to the order or pre-fitting into the ball-joint before pack and ship would be a huge plus for future customers and less time with warranty work.

Tie Rod Ends for Jeep are JUNK right out of the box!

Bought a complete set of TIE ROD ends for my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I have had since new. In the process of renewing the suspension completely. Ordered new MOOG ES3475; ES3474; ES3473; ES3472 parts. Of the original order the ES3475 had a defective boot crimp. It was replaced. Installed all 4 components, filled them with the proper grease, aligned and road tested. The MOOG parts make so much noise it scares nearby drivers. These parts came from a major supplier in genuine MOOG boxes and look EXACTLY like the Mopar OEM parts. PURE GARBAGE! Will never buy anything MOOG again. Look at the Internet, they are making this junk all over. Unless you can verify it's made here in the US or maybe Germany, STAY AWAY!

Weak parts

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Bought a set of front strut assemblies for a 2006 Mazda 3 and they are worse than the 8 year old OEM units i replaced ... After less than two months , they bottom out on the smallest of bumps. They are way undersprung , even for a Mazda 3 ! I thought Moog was a good brand , but the quality has gone downhill over the years , will never buy again. Had i not thrown the OEM assemblies out , i would have reinstalled them and threw the new Moog units in the garbage !
